I’m loving doing the publicity for Cerys Matthews and the Gladstone family, who together are running the Good Life Experience festival of food, culture and the great outdoors this September. And what is best of all is seeing the publicity I’ve secured starting to be published.
So far, Cerys, the Gladstones and the festival have appeared in national newspapers such as the Telegraph, Financial Times and the Daily Mail, local newspapers such as the Metro, South Wales Echo, London Surrey Times and Liverpool post and magazines including Veggie and Escape. Strategically, I’ve been working on getting interviews done with publications with longer lead times, such as Good Housekeeping and the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine, who will publish close to the festival date.
Now, with just over 6 weeks to go until the festival, I’m switching to publications with shorter lead times, and television, and also all the local papers and radio stations in the vicinity of the festival. Whilst it’s great to have the brand awareness and profile that comes with national publicity, the local population who will be looking to the local media for things to do at the weekend are a huge audience to target too. There are some really exciting publicity opportunities on the horizon.
I’ll keep you posted with how it all goes.
