I’ve been working for the Gladstone family and Cerys Matthews doing publicity for their Good Life Experience festival, since July. The festival is next weekend, and so far we’ve had almost 50 pieces of coverage published and another 20 to come out! Ticket sales are double what they were for the same period last year and with two weeks to go, we are all hopeful the festival will be a complete sell out. (Click here to buy your ticket!)
One of the highlights was getting the festival featured on the flagship CBBC programme Newsround. The festival has what is thought to be the world’s first children’s cafe, run for children, by children, with a strict under 12’s policy on the door.
Newsround went along to a training day to see a group of children being trained in taking orders, waiting tables, cooking food and clearing up and, when a bowl of pasta is served too cold, handling complaints too. The cafe may well descend into chaos on the day, but that, my friends, is all part of the fun!
